Messaging and Safety Rules

SoundStage Messaging and Safety Rules.

Final Approved Copy | Version 1.1 Effective Date: October 6, 2026

How Messaging Works

SoundStage messaging is intended for music discovery, Artist-Fan communication, and person-to-person conversation.

Users may control who can send Message Requests. Available settings may include:

A Message Request is not an accepted conversation. The recipient decides whether to accept or decline the request. Existing accepted conversations may remain available even if the recipient later changes the Message Request setting.

Blocked accounts cannot use messaging to bypass a block.

Everyone

People who are allowed to find your profile may send you a Message Request unless they are blocked or otherwise restricted by SoundStage.

People I Follow

Only accounts you follow may start a new Message Request.

Nobody

New Message Requests are disabled. Existing conversations are not automatically deleted.

Prohibited Messaging

Do not use messages to:

Suspicious Links and Requests

Use caution with links, payment requests, credential requests, requests to move a conversation off-platform, and claims that create urgency or pressure.

SoundStage will never ask you to provide your password through a direct message.

Sharing SoundStage Content

Native SoundStage posts or profiles may be shared through messaging where the feature is available. Sharing content through a message does not change the original content's visibility, ownership, or rights status.

Reporting

You may report a message or account that you believe violates SoundStage rules. Reports should include enough information for SoundStage to understand the concern.

Report reasons may include nudity or sexually explicit content; sexual or exploitative content; graphic violence, gore, or severe injury; threats or violence; and other safety or policy concerns.

For urgent threats or immediate danger, contact local emergency services first.

For age-verification or child-safety concerns, contact .

Blocking

Blocking is a safety boundary. Depending on the feature involved, a block may prevent messaging, Message Requests, follows, comments, Recommendations to the other person's network, and certain profile interactions.

Blocking does not necessarily delete prior messages or remove every historical record. SoundStage may retain records where reasonably necessary for security, legal obligations, dispute handling, fraud prevention, or enforcement.

Review and Enforcement

SoundStage does not promise to proactively review every private message.

SoundStage may review messages that are reported, are associated with a safety or security investigation, or must be accessed as permitted or required by law.

Violations may result in message restrictions, content removal, feature restrictions, suspension, or account termination.

Where appropriate, SoundStage may notify the affected account of a message or account restriction, identify the applicable policy category or reason, and provide a support or review path. Reporter identity is not disclosed.
